Kipchuk River Alaska - 8-21-2015 to 9-5-2015 |
|||||
This year we finally made it to Alaska. We rafted the Kipchuk River for two weeks starting near the pin you see on the map above. Aniak Lake is the vertically oriented lake at the bottom center of the image. The Aniak River runs north towards the tiny town of Aniak (arrow at top). Aniak sports a whopping population of about 500 people and is only connected to other towns via its airport. The plan was to raft about 80 river miles over two weeks while George and Dave fished and we enjoyed the scenery. | |||||
