As the day wears on, we start looking for a place to camp. |

Before we can find a spot to camp, we run into another dangerous sweeper. The river again narrows here making the current very powerful and dangerous. |

Andra shot this amazing video sequence of our efforts to remove this obstacle, and with the magic of motion pictures you can see just how fast the water is moving. Unfortunately the tree sinks below the surface before we can complete the cut and this makes the task that much more difficult. The force of the river bends the tree and binds the saw. I have to get George to move the tree several times in order to unbind the saw and continue cutting. Funny how everyone waves goodbye when it finally comes loose. |
