This being only the second time in my life using oar frames, my "technique" left much to be desired. The first few hours Andra and I spent most of that time bouncing off rocks and other easily avoidable obstacles. Having years of kayaking experience made it particularly frustrating as my brain knew exactly what I should do and then my arms would do precisely the opposite. Fortunately I learned quickly and even by the second half of the day, I was having few problems. Poor Dave and George however, had to wait several times for us while we caught up or got unstuck. |
