The next morning we loaded up the rafts and headed down river.
This being only the second time in my life using oar frames, my "technique" left much to be desired. The first few hours Andra and I spent most of that time bouncing off rocks and other easily avoidable obstacles. Having years of kayaking experience made it particularly frustrating as my brain knew exactly what I should do and then my arms would do precisely the opposite. Fortunately I learned quickly and even by the second half of the day, I was having few problems. Poor Dave and George however, had to wait several times for us while we caught up or got unstuck.
These little guys foolishly jumped into the water when they saw us coming. We then continued to chase and scare them down river for more than a mile as they kept thinking if they just went a bit further they'd be rid of us.
