Today was one of the nicer days with respect to weather. We all enjoyed the scenery and lack of rain. The upper part of the river had more evergreens and mountainous terrain.
We generally kept good spacing between the two rafts. On the rare occasions when we got together, we risked being in each other's way.
The first day down river we had the least water flow and we'd occasionally get hung up on shallow rocks. Fortunately, as you continue down any river, it is generally joined by small feeder streams. This river was no exception. Each trip down river had more flow and deeper channels. After this first day down river, only when the river would split would we run into trouble clearing shallow obstacles.
