The next morning I again decided to make pancakes. This particular pancake was a bit difficult to flip!
Exploring around our camp we found this massive bear poop. Andra of course insisted on taking a picture of it. I put my size 14 boot in the photo so you can get an idea of just how big that really is. You can also see that bears are not particularly effective at digesting berries. We have often discussed whether the caloric content of what little they digest offsets the caloric expenditure in trying to eat this many berries. If I had to guess, I'd say eating berries is a net loss for the bears.
