Although the pump was perfectly designed for Andra, I found the design a bit "short sighted." Adapting the design with the addition of one of our bear canisters made pumping much easier on my back. |

Three black bears came down the mountain across the river from us and were clearly used to crossing at this spot. They all looked like adolescents that had been recently kicked to the curb by mom. Two stopped further up the mountain and the largest one came down to the river to cross right into our camp. |
