For Dawg's first backpacking trip, I wanted to check out the trail conditions and snow pack in the area we plan to backpack later this summer. I wanted to know how heavy the snow pack is and if the route is even viable this early on a record breaking year. We started at the Leavitt Meadow Campground and worked our way south until we reached the cut off for Fremont Lake.
