Snow is much more abundant above 8300 feet.

We cut our exploration short today since we were tired from the hike in with packs. Back at camp, I gather firewood for the evening. I collect and stack the wood from small to large. This aids in getting the fire started.
Across from our camp is Falls Creek cascading down the side of the mountain. The roar of the water put us to sleep each night.
