The McArthur-Burney State Park is centrally located along the volcanic highway and offers a great launching point for exploring the regions many features. We were lucky to have all three kids, Tom and Tania, John and Julie, Bill and Judith, and Ben and Amy to make this such a special trip. Unfortunately, John fell off a rock on the first day and went to the hospital with a broken arm. He returned two days later and despite significant pain, made the best of a bad situation.
