Another shot of this beautiful cascade.
We've now reached the exit stream of Garnet Lake. Garnet Lake is just over the top above.

Now we are again back to Shadow Lake's exit stream. Hard to believe we were just here yesterday, but our sore feet and tired legs remind us that we were. We finally popped out at the shuttle-bus-stop after more than four hours of speed hiking with full packs. As I tried to lighten up Andra's pack before we left camp, the extra weight made for quite a workout.

I stopped the first shuttle I saw (going the wrong way) and asked him to radio ahead that we had a medical emergency. Shortly thereafter, a forest service guy stopped by to inquire what was going on. He said he'd light a fire under the shuttle guys to get one to us. Within a few minutes a shuttle arrived and we loaded up and headed back to the car. Fortunately, Andra had not gotten much worse, and now it was just a matter of getting a hold of her doctor or finding a medical facility. She called her doctor's 24-hour hotline and by the time she was talking to a doctor, I had already driven us to a pharmacy. I asked the pharmacist for their number, and Andra gave it to the doctor. We hung up and the doctor called back the pharmacist with the prescription while we were standing there. Whoohoo! It was over! Now we could relax and go find a hotel.
