As we gain elevation our view improves. In the distance is Tenaya Lake. It's interesting to see the location where we started this trip from our new vantage point. We hiked South (right) from the lake up the ridge to reach the Sunrise Lakes area. Tenaya Lake covers 150 acres, but you wouldn't know it from here.
A nice close up look of the lake. The trail head is just before you reach the lake on this side.
Here we're looking down the opposite side of the ridge. The valley below is part of Little Yosemite Valley.
