Here I am in the Horizon's parking garage getting our bikes ready. When we arrived it was about 49 degrees outside (9C). I threw some warmer clothes on to keep my body temp up until we were ready. This was by far the warmest start to the Tour we've ever had. They were predicting thunder showers by 3pm and the cloud cover was holding the heat in. Since we would be done well before 3pm, we were keeping our fingers crossed that the weather forecast was correct and it wouldn't rain until three.

Andra forced me to post this goofy picture. Yes, I'm wearing two jackets and my traditional doo-rag!

After prepping, we launched from the start line at 7:30am.

After climbing to the top of the Emerald Bay grade, I delayed until Andra caught up with me. This saves us $20 by not having to buy two photographs from the professional photographers. With all that training, you can see my 29 year old girlfriend's "toned" legs! (Although, I believe this is her 19th, 29th birthday)
