The trail up to Devil's Punchbowl is a steep series of switchbacks up Bear Mountain and is described as "a long forbidding butt-kicker." When you finally top the ridge, the route crosses Devil's Creek. This is a very easy crossing in August, but I wonder how it looks in the spring.
