I
made my way out from the upper trail so that I could look into the canyon
from above. Standing at the very edge you can see just how deep the canyon
was at this point (about 50ft). Those are not tiny broken tree limbs down
there, but large trees some 50ft long or more. In some areas, trees three
feet in diameter have fallen in to the canyon. |

When I got back to the start, I waited until all the people were clear and took another photo looking up the canyon. The water here runs another 1000ft or so behind me and into the ocean. |
