Turning around and looking behind me, this is Gem Lake. The waterfall is to my right.

With the lake down 40ft from the high water mark, you can see many of the tree stumps they left when clearing this area. The dam was
built in 1915-16. The dam is so old that the concrete is deteriorating, thus necessitating a geomembrane liner be installed on the upstream side.

Another nice panorama of Gem. I'd really like to see these lakes when they are full.
