Safely on the other side, I disinfected the wound and put a couple bandages on it. It didn't bleed much as I didn't tear the skin as much as you might think, but a big knot was forming from the impact. I compressed it with this wrap to prevent it from getting any larger.
Looking back the way we came, the river and meadow meander along behind us.
