I set up the mini-tripod on a rock along the creek to take this picture. We will continue upstream and then turn left. Unfortunately, trying to setup the camera for this shot, my foot slipped down a crack between the granite slabs and my shin slammed into the pointed edge of another granite slab with the full force of my weight and my backpack. It hurt like hell. I'm lucky the skin was not torn too much as most of the force was of the blunt trauma type. I didn't want to dress the wound here as we had another stream crossing about another mile ahead. I figured I'd deal with it right afterwards. |

Nearly a mile past the last picture, we are nearing the crossing point. It doesn't look like it in this photo, but this section is over eight feet deep. Definitely not going to cross here! |

Here we are at the crossing point. Worst case it is about a foot deep here. I'm switching into my water shoes for the crossing. |
