After our short two mile jaunt from Lake Harriet over to Dorothy Lake we were already relaxing on the shoreline and taking in the high mountain views. Winds were light from the south and that meant the mosquitoes weren't bothering us. Mosquitoes don't fly in strong winds, so once the wind speed reaches a minimum level, you are left undisturbed.

Andra relaxing at the lake's shore. Hat on the right way, but with the rear flipped upward to avoid her pack.

Another look at the mountain across from us as the clouds came in. The orange rope is my food hanging line. I attached my thermometer and a rock to it and threw it in the lake. If you guessed that this lake sitting at 9400ft elevation was a balmy 57 degrees, you were correct.
