Well somewhere along the road we picked up a rather nasty nail that went through my tire. Fortunately, the leak wasn't super fast. When we got off Going to The Sun Road and I pulled into the campground I noticed a hissing sound. The campground filled up unusually early that day and we had no place to stay the first night. Regardless, I had to unload the back of the Tahoe to get to the jack and tire iron. Here I am putting the flat tire back into the spare position. I was extremely thankful that I had the opportunity to change this tire on flat ground. Having the choice of being angry about getting a flat, or thankful I got to change the flat without risking my life or the lives of others - I choose being thankful. Fortunately for us the camp host took pity on us and offered to let us pitch our tent on his site and park our car in front of his for the first day. We then grabbed a site first thing in the morning the following day. |

With the car repaired and repacked, we headed out for a short hike to Apikuni Falls. |

The valley at Many Glacier Campground is spectacular. No wonder it is one of the most popular campgrounds in the park. | ||
