After two days of driving we got to the park in the morning. As we started to drive up Going to The Sun Road, I tried to get Andra to take some photos. She was tired and not interested. She said, "we can take pictures of this area when we leave." To quote Jean-Luc Picard "Seize the time, Meribor. Live now. Make now always the most precious time. Now will never come again." Words that unfortunately fell on deaf ears this trip! So these three photos, taken out the window, are all we have of this spectacular area. As you will find out later, your adventurous couple never passed this way again.

Another out the window shot of the valley below. Going to the Sun Road is an amazing feat of engineering (a.k.a. an incredible waste of tax dollars maintaining a road located in ridiculous conditions). None-the-less it provides some spectacular views.

The road gets so narrow, they only allow vehicles up to 21 feet in length and no more than 8 feet wide. Pulling in your mirrors is a good idea. If you are afraid of heights, you may not like it so much. For the majority of the climb there are no shoulders or guardrail. There are some rocks along the edge or occasionally a short rock wall (between 4 and 12 inches high) depending on the location. With a steep road without any flat sections and a steep cliff plunging into the valley, it would be an incredibly unfortunate place to get a flat tire.
