It is difficult to hike the California coast without running into banana slugs. In fact, we watched one in our camp for over 30 minutes as he devoured a series of small green plants.

This tree is somewhat simplistically named "The Big Tree." They claim it is 300ft tall and despite the fact that stitching two photos together created some distortion, I don't buy it. If I had a protractor with me, I'd have measured it. Perhaps they are right, but I wouldn't believe more than 250ft without measuring it myself.
