Back at the Brewer Creek Trailhead, I snapped a photo of the sign and wilderness permit drop box. Even with the light of dusk all the way back to HWY 89, I still drove a quarter mile down one wrong fork on the way out. It became quite obvious we hadn't come down that road when certain extremely rough sections about jarred our teeth out and my skid plating started dragging over the top of the rocks. We made a quick twenty-two point turn and were much more careful identifying each future turn.
The next day Andra and I went for a short 30+ mile bike ride along the mountain roads. We returned to the campground and decided to just sit around camp all day to see what it would be like to be Liza. :) It wasn't half bad actually.
The following day we returned to our adventuresome nature and headed out for the city of Shasta. I stopped along the road to take a few pictures. |
