Around the bend from the picture above. Looking north we can see Hoover Lakes.

There is a trail that leads into this canyon, but it eventually dead ends or you can spur east and come back out at the Green Creek Campground. The trail takes you past the Hoover lakes, and on to Gilman Lake, East Lake, Green Lake, and West Lake.

We've finally arrived at the west end of Summit Lake. The lake is just over the rise behind me. At 10,250ft the temperature is cool and we have a few mosquitoes buzzing around.

Although we saw a few people on the trail over the summit, we are alone at Summit Lake.
