As the sun set, we got some colorful thin clouds to the southwest. I decided to get my tired bones out of my chair for a few shots as the sun's light faded into the night.
The true essence of our condition. This picture, taken when no one was aware of the camera, shows what 46+ miles of hiking over high mountain passes and with heavy packs, does to the participants. Tired, resting sore legs, a quiet communion with the warm fire is all you have left.

Here are the smiling faces we've come to know in our adventures. No matter how tired you are, there is always energy left over for a smile.
