We stopped here for lunch. I can assure you, it looked and smelled better in person. Time for you to start a backpacking addiction?
I thought this granite looked cool and asked the photographer to take a picture. We didn't reach the likely frozen small lake we set out for, but the journey was just as interesting as the destination.

The next day we set out to hike to another tiny, likely frozen, lake. This lake sits at just over 9300ft, so surely we should make it today - right? To reach this lake, we have to hike down stream from our camp and find the nearly never used trail that spurs up the mountain.
