| I thought this granite looked cool and asked the photographer to take a picture. We didn't reach the likely frozen small lake we set out for, but the journey was just as interesting as the destination. | ||

The next day we set out to hike to another tiny, likely frozen, lake. This lake sits at just over 9300ft, so surely we should make it today - right? To reach this lake, we have to hike down stream from our camp and find the nearly never used trail that spurs up the mountain. |
