The lake we are trying to reach as mentioned earlier sits over 9700ft elevation and I knew there was a chance the snow would get too deep for us. The lake is over the saddle near my hat and from here looks doable.
If the lake was up there, not so doable!
As we continue up the trail the snow gets thicker and the trail gets steeper. The snow is generally holding my weight, but once the angle gets too steep, it will become too slippery to make for a safe hike.
