To the east of the camp is Fletcher Lake. The drainage for the lake exits right along the camp. Fletcher Lake lies at just under 10200ft. Later in our trip, we will have to hike over that mountain range to reach Evelyn Lake, Ireland Lake and Lyell Canyon. |

Andra poses next to this large pile of rocks on the edge of the camp. This was probably some sort of marker or landmark at one time. Perhaps the stone maintenance got too expensive so they cancelled it. What is the annual cost of maintaining rock these days anyway? If you said $51 million, you have a job as a federal bureaucrat waiting for you somewhere! Apply now.
This is the creek leaving Fletcher Lake. We are now headed up and away from the camp to Vogelsang Lake.
