Once we reached the valley floor, we ordered a pizza and after eating, took nice long showers. I went out to Sentinel Bridge to take the typical Half Dome photo. We got there more than an hour early to grab a good spot (the bridge fills up almost every night). In fact, we were one of the first to arrive and as sunset approached more and more people moved in.

With the local fires I was hoping for a redder look but this was as good as it got.
