Its average interval between eruptions is about 92 minutes, varying from 45-120 minutes. An eruption lasts 1.5 to 5 minutes, expels 3,700 to 8,400 gallons of boiling water, and reaches a height of 106 to 184 feet. The average interval between eruptions has been steadily increasing, often coinciding with local earthquakes.
