Here I am at the fork. The little black device sitting on top of the marking post is Walt's GPS unit (global positioning satellite receiver). With it we were able to compute our exact location and elevation at all times. When the Babigian boys hit the back woods we're prepared for everything. I could take over a small country with just what was in my left pocket!
Our final destination - Dick's Lake. Walt and I sat on this rock while we scarfed down a few power bars. That rather large looking watch on his left wrist has a built-in barometer, altimeter, temperature sensor, and magnetic compass!
Yours truly on the same rock. I'm not wearing a $250+ bat watch, but don't let appearances fool you. I have my 2 meter amateur radio transceiver in my backpack, my hat duals as a fish net, and my left shoe can be used as a subsonic sonar signaling device!
A final look at Dick's Lake before we left.
