To our surprise, we noticed this tiny lake part way up the mountain above Dick's Lake. We could hear water pouring into the lake from our camp, but couldn't see where it was coming from. |

I stopped here to analyze our trajectory with respect to the overall barometric pressure changes and rock density fluctuations. Roughly translated - I sat down to take a load off. |

We've now reached the top of Dick's Pass. The wind tortured and stunted trees are a testament to the 9375 ft elevation. |
