After setting up our camp in Upperpines, we headed up the hill for the Wawona Hotel. Along the way we stopped at the tunnel turnout for a group shot. On either side of dad's head are Clouds Rest and Half Dome. The three brothers and Bridalveil Falls are in the middle. The weather service had predicted a chance of Thunderstorms each day. The mornings and early afternoons were generally nice with clouds moving in during the evening.
Across the road from the turnout is Silver Strand Falls. This fall is usually just a wet stain on the rocks when we're here.
This is the first time ever that I've seen Sentinel Falls running. It looks like someone threw a roll of toilet paper off the top of the mountain. A list of common waterfalls in Yosemite can be found here. I shot this on the way back to camp after leaving mom and dad at the hotel.
