I took one last look at the beautiful scene before we moved on.
There are a number of waterfalls across on the other side of the canyon. Eventually we reached a signed fork in the trail. We made a large arrow out of sticks on the ground pointing to the right fork as even after two bathroom stops, there was still no sign of them.

We reached Summit Lake fairly early in the afternoon. We set camp near the trail and figured there would be no way we could miss George and Dave as they walked through. Once we got our tent up, we walked back along the trail where we could see the trail drop down for a significant distance. Still no sign of George and Dave. We spent some time taking a few photos expecting them to show any time.
