Although Andra and I both forgot to take a picture of the road (even after discussing it), we did snap a few photos on the drive in. Andra took this picture out the window of the car. The temperature was in the 70's with a light breeze.
Still driving in, it's fortunate I made Andra take this next photo with my camera. Andra was really looking forward to seeing seals during our trip. With various rock outcroppings called "Seal Rocks" etc, you would expect many opportunities. For reasons I will detail later, we didn't see very many, and the few we did see were at quite a distance. However, if you mouse over this image, I have cropped a full resolution section of this photograph so you can see that she did indeed capture a picture of seals even if she didn't know it at the time. It still amazes me just what all those megapixels can capture.

After getting to the trailhead and helping Brian and Andra with their packs, I took a group photo before picking up my own pack and heading out.
