Andra examines the map to get a better idea of where we are headed over the next of couple days. The sun has set and I've stoked up the fire for the evening.
This exposure makes it look a lot lighter out than it really was, but I wanted a few nice campfire photos.
The next day we take a self portrait as we hike away from Tilden Lake. Like Dorothy Lake, I expected to start down shortly after leaving the lake, but again we traveled out over several meadows before starting our descent. Today we will hike down into a canyon, up over the opposite canyon wall, down into another canyon and back up over another set of mountains before camping near Rancheria Creek.
