As the sun set, it left an orange glow on the far mountain top. The moon is already climbing into the sky.
The sun has set. We've hung our extra food and prepare to relax by the fire.
The next day winds were calm and the pesky mosquitoes were back in force. The head nets are incredibly effective, but it takes a bit of time to turn off your natural tendency to react when things are buzzing at your ears. We got things packed up and started heading for Tilden Lake. I expected the terrain to start dropping off as soon as we left Dorothy Lake, but in fact it continued nearly flat for quite a while. We walked through several wet meadows with clouds of mosquitoes before we began to descend. It was much dryer once we started down and the mosquito problem abated.
