On the way back, the tired group marches onward. Brett pooped out at about 9 miles and Brian a bit further. The trip distance was a bit much for them. On the bright side, this kind of experience is good for them, as you are always capable of more than you think you are. | ||
I pose for a picture along the trail just over a mile from camp. At about this point, Andra was convinced long hikes have no affect on me and that I never tire. I assured her, I too am human and am not immune to the effects of exhaustion. She said, "It sure looks like you are." During one trip a couple years ago, coupled with the rhythmic squeaking of my backpack, she labeled me "The Mule" for my seemingly tireless ability to march on. | ||
