We camped at the North Summit Lake campground. Here you see Summit Lake and Lassen Peak. The sleeping volcano was amazing.
The first full day (Friday), we set out on an eleven mile hike right near our campground. This loop was loaded with small lakes and beautiful scenery. Before getting too far from camp, I photographed Summit Lake and Lassen Peak (far right) with my wide angle lens.
Further up the trail after gaining about 500 feet of elevation, Lassen Peak jumps out of the landscape.
