Back down to semi-level ground we stop at the military base to touch up our Mountain Warfare skills.

Although the descent off the hairpins was a bit hair raising, we got a good workout and escaped the haze left over in our area. Fortunately the southwest winds have returned and our valley is now clear of smoke.
