What better way to load up on the calories than bacon and eggs!

We decided to drive out of the campground and explore with the car. I had hoped the snow was a one day thing and we could return to hiking the following day. We spotted these cows from the road. From a distance they looked like they were covered with parasites. I had Andra take a couple photos using her super zoom so that we could look more carefully when we got home.

As it turns out, these cows are covered in Houndstongue. A seed burr from a local weed. The stuff is nasty and quite unpleasant for cows. Considering these cows were "inside the park," I'm guessing they are owned by the local indians (we're on a reservation).
