The campground sites were closed but you could drive down to a parking area near the lake and dock. This is probably all part of Lake Britton.

This final picture is one very good reason why if you haven't taken a trip in the off-season you really should try it. Here we are back at the State Park. Most of the camp loops are closed and this image is right out of our campsite. As you can see the place was a ghost town. You had most of the place to yourself, no screaming kids, mild temperatures, zero mosquitoes, a little rain, very relaxing.

I hope you enjoyed the photos. Your slacker tour guide will try to process more pictures from the rest of our trips in an attempt to catch you up to this year's (2008) last backpacking trip in August. Unfortunately some of that processing will be delayed a bit by the week long backpacking trip we are taking next week.
