Before we left the next morning, I wanted to take a picture of the creek near our camp.

Before we climbed out of the tent, a lost hiker stopped to ask Dave for directions. He had come over Seavey Pass the day before as we did, but turned up Rancheria Creek instead of staying on the PCT. He had hiked all the way to Buckeye Pass before stopping for the night (over 7 miles past the trail fork). Dave directed him back to the PCT, but I'm sure he'll never forget his little 14 mile side trip.
