The next day we were suppose to day hike around the local area. In reality we did very little day hiking. We played chess and spent the day being quite lazy. A rancher (Kelly) came down the trail on horseback asking if we had seen any cows. I told him no. He said he was missing 3 cows and they had bells. I told him we'd keep an eye out. He told us this area is permitted to a friend of his and that his area is more up towards Highland Lakes. After failing to find the stray cows in his part of the forest, he came down here looking for them.
