We've finally reached Walker Burger and take a photo as we wait for our food. The owner of Walker Burger, who knows us on sight, graciously offered to pick us up if we ever have a problem biking in the area. He said, "you just call the restaurant, and I'll take the truck and come get you." Between him and the 86 year old man and his wife wearing the "Reagan Bush" hat I visited with, they remind me there are still good people out there. Both of us needed the reminder after repeated attempts by motorists to injure us.

We generally try to stay on seldom used roads where the problems are rare, but as our society devalues life more each day, there may come a time when even that is not enough. For the car drivers that think they own the road, try to remember that after killing someone, the jury likely won't take as an excuse - "I was afraid if I was 11 seconds later to Wal-mart, they'd run out of 2% milk before I arrived."

We left after 2pm and headed north from the town of Walker on 395. This Fatal Traffic Collision happened probably less than 30 minutes behind us as we continued home. Patience saves lives. Your special creamer will still be in stock when you arrive - I promise.
