The relaxed group poses for a picture near the river.
The sun sets and the temperature drops. Time for jackets, beanies and hot tea! Dawg's facial swelling has faded after he attempted to eat a bumblebee earlier today. I had to open his mouth and pull the stinger out of his lower lip. He had a knot swollen up the size of a spherical quarter. We felt so bad for him we didn't think to take a picture of the drooling facially lopsided protector of camp before his face returned to normal.

The next morning it is time to cook up another batch of delicious blackberry pancakes. Dawg watches the half hour long process (we have a tiny skillet), knowing that at the end, there will be leftovers. Cooking on a fire makes the process so much easier. The stove is just too hot and I have to hold the pan just the right distance away. Here I squirt some olive oil into the pan before adding more batter.
